Career Exploration
The Law Library offers resources on career options within the legal profession and on alternatives to traditional law firm practice. Except where noted, print materials are located in the Law Library’s Career Collection and can be checked out of the Law Library for twenty-one days. Additional materials for career exploration are available in the Office of Career Development.

Newspapers and Magazines
Several legal newspapers and magazines subscribed to by the Law Library frequently contain articles on "hot" practice areas, employment trends, and salaries. The following are recommended reading:
National Jurist: The Magazine for Law Students (1991-). Irregular. Periodicals. Monthly issues of this magazine are available in a magazine stand located in the law school cafeteria.
National Law Journal (1971-). Weekly. The current issue is placed on the newspaper rack in the Law Library. Back issues are located in Reserve. Available on LexisNexis.
Student Lawyer (1972-). Monthly except June-August. Periodicals. A free subscription is available by joining the A.B.A. Law Student Division. Selected articles are available at A.B.A. Law Student Division.
